Gas and Liquid Metering Systems

Metering systems in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries are advanced assemblies of equipment and technologies designed to provide precise measurement of the volume or mass of fluids such as crude oil, petroleum products, gas condensates, and natural gas. They play a critical role in commercial transactions and custody transfer operations. The importance of these systems lies in the fact that even the smallest error in measurement, given the high value of these fluids, can result in significant financial losses.

In general, these systems consist of flow meters (such as ultrasonic, turbine, Coriolis, and others), flow computers, various transmitters, control valves, filters, safety devices, and a central control unit (flow computer), all mounted on a single skid structure. Their design is carried out in compliance with international standards such as API, AGA, OIML, and ISO, ensuring that measurements remain fully reliable and repeatable under different operating conditions, including high temperature and pressure.

The main objective of employing these systems is to provide a comprehensive and highly accurate solution for monitoring fluid transfer operations and ensuring effective resource management.
